List building is a key component to online marketing success. It seems that every time I turn around someone is offering a “new” technique or revealing the “secret” to list building. They seem to come up with all these steps and requirements as if there is some big unknown secret out there but my own experience for the past 15 years has shown me that simple methods work really well.
As an example, I focus on two keys:
1) I use a Hosted Capture page here at TrafficWave.net.
2) I add subscription forms to my blogs and web sites.
I drive traffic to my capture pages, my blogs, and my web sites via the simple stuff like advertising, links on social media, inviting prospects directly/personally, and just doing that over and over again. Advertising can be classified ads, traffic exchanges, business cards, etc…
That’s it. When someone gets to my capture page and/or forms, they see my offer to send them free details about my offer. Those visitors who want to learn more fill out the form and get the information.
This simple method has worked very well for me for over 15 years.
